Fox News. Where Do They Go From Here.
Discussion
I noticed one of my US relatives posts on the Fox News Facebook page when his comments appeared on my Facebook newsfeed.
Having clicked on the link and read the article I then scrolled down to read the comments.
My jaw hit the floor. Basically a seething hysterical venomous outpouring of a sense of betrayal from what was as near as damn the entire Fox News audience. Fox News are America hating, Godless Communist socialist liberal progressive traitors.
Their decision to tell it how it is rather than tell their target audience what they wanted to hear has really turned them against the news channel. The number of comments and level of fury and vitriol actually surprised me. I'd also be worried were I a fan of Fox as to its future given that, to a man, or woman, the commenters were so disillusioned with Fox they were off to either Rightside News or Breitbart.
Question then would be what direction does Fox take from hear to remain relevant? Do they play to the crowd and tow the "Trump was robbed" line or do they pursue a more mainstream truth based moderate line.

The more extreme voices tend to be the loudest online.
I haven't encountered much Fox News but they impression I have is that they are Republican leaning news network to counter balance all the Democratic leaning ones. Americans increasingly consume their news depending on ideological affiliation so that seems a healthy place to be in terms of viewers.
If Murdoch has decided to move them to the left then that would be a mistake as their selling point in the market would be gone. Not believing Trump won the election is unlikely to be a sign of that however.
