Didn't realise this was going on. Lewis has been trying to sue Swiss watch co Hamilton for using his name even though they are over 100 years old.

Is he a bit of a wally?

A bit of a wally? Yes and then some.

More self-entitled ste, from someone with little to no grip on reality.

‘He liked their watches so much, he bought the company!’ said an old ad something like that I remember.

Maybe he should have just joined forces with them; probably more efficient and effective for both parties?

I really can’t understand why, during the 3 years that nobody explained to him that his surname is just that. A name, not a magical marketing word that he has ownership of. Bizarre to say the least.
Going off thread, wtf is that tattoo about on the back of his hand?

What a colossal ego a person would have to possess in order to start a legal battle over something like that.

Maybe the watch company should sue him for using their name, make him change it by deed poll, Lewis the Loser maybe.

I watched "Hamilton" on Disney+ a few months back and was disappointed it wasn't about Lewis smile

Very strange. I hope there's a bit more the story than just the name...

^ this - absolutely

Also the 2 non entities Vardey and Rooney wasting loads of money and court time over who said what . Who cares . They are only famous as they let England footballers score ( something they often fail to do on the pitch).

Otherwise they would have been seen on one of those police programs fighting outside a northern nightclub

didn't he just spend time slagging off his team mate for having the same car but not winning, by highlighting how he is the best as he won the race in the rain -

what a right see you next tuesday.

Well to be fair i doubt very much that he's had any personal input into the legal side; his lawyers would have initiated and dealt with everything. Lewis may well not know anything at all about it.

I doubt he even knew anything about it. This sounds like pointless IP lawyer fights that happen all of the time.

The hearing was told 44IP, named after the Mercedes driver's race number, are attempting to trademark the name 'Lewis Hamilton' for a number of goods including watches, smartwatches and jewellery and Hamilton International are opposing the move.

Total and utter bell-end! WTF did he think was going to happen? One of the Iconic and historic names in timekeeping and he thinks they have to bow down to his ego! What a tosser.

I can just see Otis Redding trying to sue the Otis lift company - not!

Many years ago on the Steve Wright in the afternoon show on Radio 2 they used to have a segment called "Lost In Showbiz". Lewis Hamilton is definitely lost in showbiz - well, lost in his own ego, at least.
