(Sorry, I know it is another Covid-19 Thread - but is a different take on it!)

Was listening to Times Radio this morning and this question was asked..

I can say I haven't had any dreams or nightmares that are covid related - Anyone here experienced any.....?

I think in the early days of the lockdown, (March) it was such an unusual event, and with it being pretty much the only thing in the news, it was certainly on my mind when i woke up in a morning, but i don't recall any specific dreams about it.

Also, do you just mean dreams about Covid as a virus, or life under Covid, or dreams about catching it or having it?

I think the way life so dramatically changed for most of us for a few short weeks, means things got a bit weird, I certainly seemed to be up much later at night and up earlier in the morning? Mind you a lot of the late nights / 3 amers was trying t get shopping deliveries for my various elderly neighbours!!

Either - anything related to Covid, catching it, having it or just the virus generally..

In the early phases of the pandemic (March), yes (nightmares / very vivid dreams) when there were many uncertainties.

But I put that down to:

1) Working 60 hour weeks as part of our corporate response team (big company) and so all of my day was filled with CV-19 related topics and reports
2) Having 2 children at home further depriving me of sleep
3) Having watched my mother die in January of pneumonia in hospital over 5 long days (palliative care)

So yes, but only in the early phases and stress/sleep deprivation driven.
Summer was much better.

This was covered on the Vine show yesterday, you can get it on catchup whatever.

Personally I rarely dream about relevant and recent things so no.

I've not had any dreams about covid, but I've had the weirdest / mixed up dreams almost every night since the original lockdown started.

I had a weird dream involving being in my local (shut for months thanks to Sturgeon's "short sharp", "16 days only" measures). All the Covid pantomime markings etc were all there, I think the other customers & staff might have been wearing masks as well. I had a conversation about the bar staff about the futility of it all while dozing in a sleeping bag at the end of the bar. I then got up and went out & sat in a Cabana type thing in a lovely warm sunny beer garden outside with my pint (this doesn't exist - it's a crappy old man's pub on a main road in Glasgow, doesn't even have a car park never mind a beer garden and certainly no cabanas!).

I've no idea what this is telling me. In fact I'm scared to think.

I’ve had very vivid dreams that I was living under a dictatorship and not in the U.K. I wasn’t allowed to leave the house, go to the shops, go to work, without permission from The Man. It was horrible... then I woke up...

Actually, without doubt.

It’s hard to keep track at the moment as there is such poor news week after week.

I thought, was it last week? I’ve lost tack to be honest. The whole Cummings embarrassment, the money spun ked on st PPE was looking like the nadir of this current government.

But it goes on, and on, and on.

I’ve had some very strange dreams this last week, probably caused by little social interaction, working from home all the time etc, seeing my life restricted by an authoritarian government.

But after one bad dream too many this week, I woke and asked myself: “ Did I actually dream that, what? 4 years ago?

I YouTubed it this morning . It wasn’t a dream at all.

A total nightmare - but reality.

I had a nightmare I had sarscov2, though the actual nightmare part was that I'd run out of toilet roll while having a st... the sarscov2 was just a subservient concern.
