(Alleged) Bribery, corruption and witness intimidation - oh dear.

“ The elected Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, has been arrested.

The city leader was arrested earlier today by Merseyside Police along with four other men in connection with offences of bribery and witness intimidation as part of an investigation into building and development contracts in Liverpool.

Detectives made arrests at addresses throughout the city as well as Ormskirk and Southport.

The arrests are part of "an ongoing investigation", police said today.

Confirming the details of the arrests police said the following five people had been arrested:

A 72-year-old man, from Aigburth, has been arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation.

A 62-year-old man, from Old Swan has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation.”

A vile vile man, hope the police do a proper job this time, about time he got his comeuppance.
Hope it encourages certain individuals to come forward.

It doesn’t matter what colour of politics are involved, they are all like pigs around a trough.

I’d bring back public hanging for misappropriation of public funds, and nonces of course.

A lot of locals do comment on how he kept getting elected as nobody locally appears to like him. If Deggsy is involved..well they probably wouldn't be found guilty in LIverpool Crown Court (see S. Gerrard)

I think it would have to be an out of area trial to ensure an impartial jury

Can we include Gov PPE contracts and such in any future investigation please.

Bribery and planning applications has been allegedly going on for quite a while - the occasional back hander here and there or attendance at various corporate events and other “gifts”

Witness intimidation now that is another thing - wonder who they are alleged to have intimidated and in what context? Maybe witnesses or those giving evidence to planning meetings?

......Percy Street and Upper Parliament Street..
......Infinity project

Three Liverpool councillors that I won’t name on here, several staff, some loose lips from staff at London based property investment company, oh and best not forget the 72yr old mans son either...........he’s very interesting indeed.
