Seeing as the article includes comment on that aspect from legal professionals, yes, I think it can.

Until it is universally available, no, I would say not. Same as the venues saying they are going to do it.

Once it is, I would have thought not, but I can see companies doing it and relying on people not challenging.

Good. I don't want to sit next to some anti vaxxer moron while trying to do my job.

And yet others have to sit next to you.

How does it make you an anti-vaxer moron for not wanting to take a jab for something with a 99.9% survival rate (for my age group). It seems entirely rational to me.

Can see this is going to be this years Covidiots / granny killer / excuse to be sanctimonious on social media. God help me!

I take it you find Chimune's opinion irritating? Unlike infectious diseases, finding something irritating doesn't normally have the potential to land you in ICU.

Because you can still become infected and pass it on to others, who then end up dead. I'm surprised that after a year to learn about Covid-19, you are still asking a question which most other people figured out around April or May last year.

If you've had the jab, why do you care?

As there are already jobs in the medical profession that require you to have jabs to get a job I don't see why not.

However I'm not sure how it would apply to other professions

Suspect a lot of revised contracts (end of this one, rollover into new one) will be attempted too. This doesn't look good.

What about those who can't have the jab for one reason or another?

Well, you don't want a vaccine, so you're an anti-vaxxer.

Your argument for why kind of covers the other half.

Well said. Especially the bit about being surprised.

Yes, yes it does. It looks excellent and very, very sensible.

Actually those having taken the vaccine are likely to be the spreaders in that situation - asymptomatic spread is the risk now

But those vulnerable people are vaccinated and the vaccine doesn’t totally stop you passing it on.

I’m willing to concede it’s a net good to society, but it’s entirely rational to think of yourself and take a pass. It certainly doesn’t make you a moron.

Either way I wouldn’t touch it so you and the Pimlico muppet can take a hike.

We won't find common ground on this one.

Hey if that little rip-off wide-boy Charlie Mullins says it's good it must be right?

I think the bigger issue for the UK over the next few years is "lots of jabs, no jobs" ...
