Last time he crashed outside his house he was full of pills.

A few years ago he was found slumped at the wheel of his car again and had to get help for pain killer issues.

One of Golfs greatest players, very eventful private life he has though and he's been plagued with painful injuries.

The car looks odd - like the engine is ripped out

Didn't he have surgery last week?

He had back surgery a couple of days before Christmas. He's not playing still, was in LA to be the host of Golf tournament and doing some TV work.

Thank goodness he is alive. Aside from his previous transgressions, he is the best golfer to have ever lived, and a fantastic ambassador for the sport responsible for so many people getting into the sport.

Wish him the best

There was a picture of him doing the rounds a couple of days ago in which he looked as bad as he did when he was taken to the cop shop. He's just had more back surgery, pure speculation but maybe he overdid it on the pain killers.

Looks like a big one, hope he's ok.

Is that a Bentayga?

Possibly just pushed right back into the bulkhead, which would explain the injuries. Looking at the footage it's as though the car has dropped from a higher road and nose dived into the ground where it's landed. Plenty of roads where that would be possible in the hills around LA. Anyway, hope he's soon on the mend and makes a full recovery.

Looks like it is

Jules_s - looks more like luggage and all the crap from interior piled up than the engine maybe?

It's a Genesis GV80, a new one on me.

Yes, either boot contents or first responders' kit alongside.

It is a Genesis GV80 that was lent to him by the manufacturer

I could be wrong - but the 'bit' in front of the suitcases looked like it had a manifold on it (sky news footage)

Great golf player and I hope he gets better soon, but can't help thinking this being a major setback to his career..

He sure does like to have the odd road mishap. Wonder if it's time he considered a chauffeur, if he can afford it?

Naturally, all best wishes to Tiger.

Not so sure about the car though. Looks like the US version of the SsanYong Rodius . Take a look at the Genesis web site - they obviously disagree...

A car that “exudes athletic elegance” etc, for a touch of comic hyperbole it is worth a look.
