What a fantastic result. I'm sure many had fears that she would be allowed to return to fight her case, after which it would probably never have been possible to kick her out again if she failed in her challenge.

This is the right result as it allows her appeal to be held. Had she returned to the UK her right to stay been refused then we would still not have been able to deport her so she would get the result she wants by default preventing justice working. If her appeal to return (based on her citizenship appeal) is approved then welcome back love enjoy a life in the UK post prison. So this is fair and just for all parties.
Personally I hope she never comes back and if her family miss her I suggest they pop over to see her.

I still think the country shouldn't be able to remove your citizenship. Or at least politicians shouldn't be able to. No matter who you are or what you do.
Well I think it is only allowed where you either have dual citizenship or the entitlement to another citizenship. do you all really think this is the end of it? she will leave it a year or so and will pop up back in east london. Some way, some how she will get back. get married, have a kid or two, and then that will be that.
this is just a minor set back for her and is delaying the inevitable. She will get back into the UK its just a question of how she will do it, and when..

Possibly but a lifetime of looking over her shoulder always worried she would be recognised and locked up would be a suitable punishment. this is just a minor set back for her and is delaying the inevitable. She will get back into the UK its just a question of how she will do it, and when..

Well I think it is only allowed where you either have dual citizenship or the entitlement to another citizenship. She is the daughter of Bangladesh citizens. Under Bangladesh law it is possible she automatically has Bangladesh citizenship with out applying. There are legal views on Bangladesh law which support and disagree with this idea.
The Bangladesh government have made it clear they disagree and she will not be granted citizenship. The Bangladesh legal system means its unlikely she will be able to challenge this.
My own view is she is our problem and we need to deal with it. I also suggest it raises real issues for UK citizens in the UK who have Bangladesh parents.
Having seen the SC statement it seems her lawyer application to the CofA did not include any mention of the HR act. It did sound as if it had the decision might have gone the other way.
