During his [Jeremy Vine's] Channel 5 show today, the broadcaster discussed how hundreds of people had backed a ban on all dairy foods, like cheese and yoghurt, in schools. Alison Plaumer, from the global environmental movement, had argued in a council meeting that large proportions of the BAME communities are lactose intolerant so plant-based meals should only be served.
Ms Plaumer had stated: "Arguably, there is a racist element to serving dairy too much because 65 per cent of the world's population are lactose intolerant, many from the BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) community.
"Loads of parents around here give lots of support to this. What do children want? They want action. They want it now."

Its stupid ideas like this that are turning some people away from caring about "minority issues". I was talking to a group of friends and everyone is so fed up with excessive PC stuff that they are disengaged from it now. Seemingly everything is something-ist so they don't care anymore.
Also dairy products are lovely, balls to banning them.

I'm Asian, have some degree of intolerance but still have cheese most days of the week....I'm more concerned about the state of my arteries than the intolerance!
That article is beyond ridiculous..if individuals have a severe intolerance to food types that's a different conversation.
I love nuts too (the edible variety) so will they also be grouped with cheese?!

When I was a child we used to get a free half a pint bottle of milk every day at school. It wasn't very nice because it was always warm but it did build healthy bones and teeth, apparently.

Just to add to that, Luther (Idris Elba) isn't black enough because he doesn't have any black friends or eat Caribbean food according to BBCAlso dairy products are lovely, balls to banning them.
