Tesla crashes into tree. No one in the drivers seat.
Discussion
Car travelling at high speed, fails to take a bend in the road. Two people dead. One found in the rear seat and one in the passenger seat.
It would appear the stupid idea of showing off your Autopilot function by climbing into the passenger seat is still happening.

I thought Tesla had sensors on the drivers seat to make sure the driver didn’t leave the seat while driving? Autopilot would deactivate if nobody In drivers seats...
Might that have happened in this case, but by the time he realised,it was too late for him to get back to the drivers seat in time??

Knowing how good some kids are getting at hacking, I hope they have some sort of safety built in, otherwise whats stopping a hacker sending cars crashing all over the place?

There are quite a few of videos on Youtube of people (idiots) letting their Tesla drive on Autopilot down the highway/road while they sit in the back seat or the passenger seat videoing it. As far as I know there are sensors to stop this happening, but how they manage it is a mystery. I presume it gives you a certain amount of seconds to get back into the seat, or sense your weight, before it cancels Autopilot.
