I'm watching the last session of the Word Snooker final and it was billed as the first capacity crowd at a sporting venue for twelve months. To be honest, I really wish they hadn't bothered. I've rarely seen such a bunch of loud, unruly badly dressed chavs in all my life. I mean what TF is going on here? I recall watching this as a kid back in the 80's and at the very least you were expected to dress smartly - and a lot of people were in formal "black tie" dress - and you were absolutely not expected to act like a shouty moron. I recall the referee telling people off for chatting to their mates (and being applauded for doing so) but I get the impression that if he tried this today he'd be lynched. A most unedifying thing to watch, to be honest. It really does bolster the image of the UK as a country of uncouth chavs.

Looks to me like a mix of people in various attire, reflecting the populus of the UK.

Yet the ref has just had to speak to them!

Just be glad Ronnie isn't playing as that's when the crowd really lose any self control...

My Grandma always said that it was those Jimmy White fans who started the rot.

Certain dress codes are reflected for certain functions. It's snooker, not football or darts!

I'm happy to see a capacity house at a sporting event.

I wish the po-faced ref would give some latitude to the excited crowd, they are not calling
out while the players are playing a shot.
