Just to mention: the originators of the investigation were fellow police officers.

You know, just in case we get the 'looking after their own' trope.

Yes, but didn't you see the recent documentary about police corruption on the Beeb?

I don't want to earn a parrot, but you do know that the TV show is about as true to life as Star Wars, don't you?

I don't want to earn a parrot, but the one on corruption in the Met and City was merely one series and just the three episodes, all of which were not equal.

Bloody hell, what with the 'crash for cash' and 'genuinely speechless' threads we really are hitting some good home runs.

I hope the trend continues. It seems that it needs to.

For every bad police news story. If the press reported every good story where officers saved life and made a huge difference there would be no room for any other story of any type. Ever.

Last year Manchester Police dealt with over 16,000 cases of reported missing people. Only 35 were found dead. Some of those are repeated missings but then again almost all would be vulnerable and at risk of harm.

Let's not talk about the positives though.

LAZY POLICE STAND BY AND ALLOW 35 PEOPLE TO DIE
