Lockdown easing in England on the Monday 19th July?
Discussion
Probably, maybe might happen. School holidays for all, eat out to help out II (this time we really mean it, for us), then 2-6 weeks to whip up the Autumn is nearly Winter NHS can't cope panic, offices are back and we're off again.
Good sign (for now) - minor rumblings on furlough not continuing, for now.
Bad signs - Same woefully bad models from 'The Science' (TM). Although slowly shifting away from 4k deaths per day to levels of positive tests not yet seen, completely at odds with anywhere.
If it doesn't happen, it will be even more of people doing 29 (or whatever) for the few seconds they might be within radar of someone who probably doesn't give a s
t 99% of the time). Then an ever increasing pool of people, the equivalent of Brake, will behave inversely.

Delaying today was unnecessary and sheer cowardice but you could see the draw of the 4 week period of vaccines plus the end of summer term was too tempting to pass up. In my opinion no matter what he does now he’s blown it and wasted the successful vaccine rollout, his only success in a seat of utter failure and ineptitude.

Agreed. But given 1 dose is ineffective with Delta, I fear the allure of "4 more weeks to double jab the 18-30"' is in on the cards. There will always be a temptation to keep up restrictions, what is needed is someone to have the balls to say "we must learn to live with it" and (importantly) mean it.However they seemed fairly unequivocal that 19th July would give them enough jabs to unlock....so maybe it will be the epsilon variant that dashes our hopes?
I cant see nightclubs or 2019 normality pub crawls (or free reign international travel, but I think that is a seperate matter?) this year.
But - you could perhaps tag nightclubs and standing at the bar into the scheme below?
With the double vaxxed frothing they cant go to the theatre, and other countries allowing the double jabbed certain extra freedoms, coupled with a legal battle with ALW - I can see any freedoms returned being NHS App Vaccination status dependant. With theatres at the top of the list (and sports events already included - FA cup final, league cup final, Euros, Wimbledon, Snooker world championship)- Boris has promised ALW he will "work closely with him" to try and sort something out. And maybe this is the real reason for the delay?
Can you add a poll, and add an option "any freedoms returned will be vaccine pass dependant"?

They’ll want all the over 18s double jabbed to prevent them passing the deadly virus onto the older (vaccinated) age groups. And then the over 12s and so on......

And I reckon the Omega Strain will show up....
