Discussion
British soldier in the states has parachute failure from
15,000ft jump and lands in someones kitchen after smashing through their roof.
The guys just sitting up in a bit of pain. Exemplifies British behaviour (not the type we see from w
ky football fans) after what must have been terrifying.

What language was that originally written in? Its barely comprehensible!
Even the Mail article it quotes as the origin is better written:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9779477/British-soldier-smashes-ROOF-lands-kitchen-parachute-fails-open-exercise.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=1490
Lucky he got his reserve chute open!

There is a case from World War 1 where an occupant of an observation balloon which was set on fire leapt from the basket WITHOUT a parachute and fell through the roof of a convent - landing on a recently vacated bed - and survived.
Hmm... I can see a half decent retro porn script in this. Better than the plumber scenes anyway.mcdjl said:

They scraped the article when it appeared, replaced words with synonyms (and looks like other minor editing) and then republished it (all automatically), in the hope of getting the copied article reposted elsewhere exactly as it has been Even the Mail article it quotes as the origin is better written:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9779477/British-soldier-smashes-ROOF-lands-kitchen-parachute-fails-open-exercise.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=1490

There were at least two in WW2 as well, both at around 20,000 feet. One from a Lancaster and one from a B17, IIRC.EDIT:
Three - there was also a Russian from an Il4 , according to Wikipedia.
RAF Flight Sergeant Nicholas Alkemade - tail gunner - Avro Lancaster - 18,000 feet
USAAF Staff Sergeant Alan Magee - ball turret gunner - Boeing B17 - 23,000 feet
Soviet Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Chisov - navigator - Ilyushin Il-4 - c.22/23,000 feet
