As I read it these ministers have "breached the Ministerial code' in trying to interfere in a court case, yet they have only been told to apologise. Is this enough? Can someone with more legal experience explain this?

Nothing to see here. Technical breach.

Look at the state of Diane Abbott.

At least it's not Jeremy Corbyn.

There, I think that's the thread completed.

I was not posting from any partisan position, but from one of wanting to improve my knowledge. They have breached the Ministerial code, regardless of what party they represent, does the punishment fit the 'crime'? Why is it a non story or is it just a non story given the parlous stare of our political classes, which if true, is surely a story in itself?

It does seem that breaking the ministerial code no longer matters. I think politicians should behave correctly and held to account, regardless of their political leanings or allegiances but sadly it appears I'm in an astonishingly small minority. Shame really but there you go.

Indeed, most seem to be quite enjoying being screwed by Boris and chums.
