Well, its that time of year when the Party faithful start to plan their autumn pilgrimage to tory Party Conference, however this year is different and rebellion and anger are in the air, as some of the Party faithful are planning to boycott their own event if coronavirus vaccine passports are required for entry.

Tory MP's like Wycombe MP Steve Baker are fuming due to the requirement.

https://www.thenational.scot/news/19462158.conserv...

Meanwhile, tory supremo Bozza Johnson has hinted that he might change the 'double jabbed' requirement for nightclub entry but nothing about his own tory jamboree...!!!!

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2021/07/22/to...

The outcry from backbenchers is growing eve louder. Surely this won't derail the event, that for some is the social highlight of the year?

There's a surprise, another day, another Tory bashing thread for Unknown.

What's the phrase? We hurt the ones we love the most!

How on earth is this “tory bashing”.?

I read about it in the Telegraph (that evil leftie communist rag) and thought it most interesting. No negativity from me young man!

What the cult of Boris are incapable of grasping is that many of the people critical of Boris and his government are Conservative voters.

People that behave like boris are normally the long term unemployed and unemployable.
If he did some work and wore a less crumpled appearance he would probably lose votes.
I think the masterplan is working though. Lorry driver vacancies ,empty shelves etc.
Can these people be herded kicking and screaming into some hard thankless work now its available?
If you imagine boris trying to be a lorry driver and make deliveries the situation is not looking promising.
5-10 mins work a day is all he seems to manage so when those jobs come on stream its sunlit uplands for all.

Boris will continue to walk on water.

It has been 10's of years since Tories have had such a huge majority. and no credible opposition,

Ignore those who will never be 'leveled up'

Count me amongst them !

I’d consider myself to be a Trad-Tory.

I had high hopes for Theresa May, but I’d rank her on a similar level to Gordon Brown, not the next Maggie T I hoped she’d be.

And then PM Johnson. Always a stable favourite of the party faithful, and again, I had such high hopes. I’ve always voted and I’ve always voted either Conservative or UKIP.

What I’ve been left with is not too dissimilar to the taste of vomit in my mouth.

I will concede that it’s been a bloody strange 18 months that we’ve just had, and the infringements upon our liberty hasn’t been as authoritarian as some countries have had to endure, but even so, it’ll be a very, very, very long time before I vote Conservative again.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

If Archer had stood for leader back in the day, would you have voted for him? If not, why ever would you support Johnson?

That sort of attitude is part of the problem.

That’s a bit before my time, (in terms of being able to vote).

As an aside on the eve of the party conference these appear to be the Conservative Party's priorities.

I’ve given you the most important metric – never mind life expectancy, never mind cancer outcomes – look at wage growth.

The headline - 'PM pledges to improve economy after Covid'.

As if his pledges are worth anything these days.

Might be a safer bet to pledge to ‘change’ the economy.

Interesting when respected commentators like Iain Dale are saying this on the first day of the Conference.

Does Boris have to deal with many interviews as part of the Conference or is it just giving a speech?
