Warhammer maker Games Workshop hands staff £5,000 bonus after lockdown sales surge
It could be a masterstroke as they'll probably spend it on more Games Workshop stuff

I would never support a company who are pro animal cruelty! This money is stained with the blood of innocent..er...space wolves.

They did get a healthy boost to their bottom line by flogging the rights to use their IP to make video games. The results have been variable, but the money was substantial.
Apparently they are correcting some of the damage done to their games by the dreadful "Age of Sigmar" changes and releasing an updated traditional Warhammer game, so I'd say their future is bright. If they managed to boost their share price so significantly during the AoS blunders, I'd say they are well placed to scoop even more easy cash with a new edition of Warhammer.

This payout is apparently a standard thing they do every year and is share options, not £5k cash.
Maybe they have changed since the stuff detailed in the Reddit and Twitter posts, but unlikely.
