You read lots about the st employers so good to read of one doing something good.

Warhammer maker Games Workshop hands staff £5,000 bonus after lockdown sales surge

It could be a masterstroke as they'll probably spend it on more Games Workshop stuff hehe

Wonderful news. I used to be really into GW stuff as a kid, must be hugely profitable given the prices but it's an almost unique proposition so I'm not surprised it does well.

And they’ve created a little ecosystem of connected companies around Nottingham. I’ve written them off so many times in the past, but they’re a great company.

God no.

It's pretty much legalised crack.

They did get a healthy boost to their bottom line by flogging the rights to use their IP to make video games. The results have been variable, but the money was substantial.

Apparently they are correcting some of the damage done to their games by the dreadful "Age of Sigmar" changes and releasing an updated traditional Warhammer game, so I'd say their future is bright. If they managed to boost their share price so significantly during the AoS blunders, I'd say they are well placed to scoop even more easy cash with a new edition of Warhammer.

Not convinced they do - https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/osh...

Tweet thread from Sophie Williams - https://twitter.com/sophisaurus_rex/status/1419738...

This payout is apparently a standard thing they do every year and is share options, not £5k cash.

Maybe they have changed since the stuff detailed in the Reddit and Twitter posts, but unlikely.

Christian Benteke favours Chaos Warriors. Roy Hodgson is less of a fan.

Some of the stuff in those twitter threads is utterly damning. No wonder the profits are so high....
