''A ‘cowardly’ cyclist who ran over and badly injured an NHS hospital worker in a hit-and-run crash has been jailed for two years.''

I notice in the video another cyclist ran a red light as well, shocking behaviour but seems all too common in cyclists using the roads as a race track and ignoring laws.

I read that as 'a cyclist killed a man who ran a red light'.

hehe

Good click bait this one.

"using roads as a race track" rofl - some of the posters on this forum are actually beyond hilarious.

The guy is a scumbag, he should have got more than 2 years.

But your take is not that, but "yeah cyclists".

Well done you - have a biscuit.

Do we start a new thread every time a driver runs a red and hits a ped or mounts the pavements?

No, because a car killing someone is acceptable in the UK, but a cyclists or electric scooter does it and all hell breaks loose.

Quite unusual occurrence though?

This twitter thread goes on for a very long time... https://twitter.com/ormondroyd/status/910244326567...

I suspect that the average sentence for killing someone with a car is a damn sight less than two years.

Yes, I had seen that before.

It should be the blanket response to garbage threads from the same garbage posters about this sort of thing.

Exactly but spend time on here and other social media and you would believe that cyclists are running people down in the 100s every year. The usual anti cycling rhetoric (don't pay road tax, insurance) gets drummed out for what is a rare occurrence. If people really cared about people getting injured on the streets, cycling is not what they would concentrate on.

Cars don't kill people, drivers do, if I'm going to be a pedant. But either way I'm not sure it's that acceptable.

A scrote on a bike is still a scrote

A scrote in a car is still a scrote

Get over it. The sentancing may well be due to other issues being taken into account. Hit and run, running red light, previous convictions etc...

So you find it acceptable that cyclists run red lights, one killed one person, the other missed him? Not see an issue there?

Do you find it acceptable that car drivers run red lights? Killing loads of people? Not see an issue there?

Trying to cancel me because you don't agree?

Cars have funny things on them, you know letters and numbers that allow traceability and responsibility for their actions.

If you take this away you rely on integrity and honesty to obey the laws, and i found it very odd that as one cyclist killed an innocent another just missed them. Yet nothing to see it seems...

Read the twitter thread and as said, be quiet, because you're just flat out wrong, as per most of you lot who post this drivel on here constantly.

Should the second cyclist have found another pedestrian to kill?
