What's your view on it?

My personal view is that I support transgender people pretty much 100% when it come to pretty much everything. But I don't think that people born male should compete in elite female sports where physical strength is a big determinant.

What do you think?

It's wrong.

Men who change gender are transwomen, and not women. And same other way.

But as a tiny percentage of people are trans, so not enough to make their own competition I suspect.

Best let the new and existing women sort it out themselves and stay well out.

Budgett accepted that the issue was “large, difficult and complex”, but backed Hubbard’s right to compete.“To put it in a nutshell, the IOC had a scientific consensus back in 2015,” he said. “There are no IOC rules or regulations around transgender participation. That depends on each international federation. So Laurel Hubbard is a woman, is competing under the rules of her federationand we have to pay tribute to her courage and tenacity in actually competing and qualifying for the Games.”
He calls himself a doctor? I believe the technical term is nutsack!

There is nothing extreme about women wanting to keep males out of women's sport.
However, this is an extremist.

Can I just check, have there been any females who have transitioned to male then gone on to compete professionally in a sport?

(Not being funny this is a genuine question)

You know the answer to that.

No female will ever transition into a male and compete at a high level in a sport which relies on strength or speed.

Last thread ended badly. Most understand that people born male unfortunately have an extreme biological advantage and it is massively unfair to allow them to compete against women.

Then you had one or two who supported the inclusion but couldn't actually admit to saying it's fair - they just wanted Hubbard to be able to compete 'if the governing bodies allowed it'. They refused to disclose what they would decide if it was their own decision - whilst labeling people who did give their opinion trans-phobic.

It was also pointed out that whilst Hubbard may not dominate the sport - they are 45 years old in a field with an average age of 24, and stopped lifting for about 15 years before taking it up again as a female of advanced age.

It's also worth pointing out that if Bruce Jenner had transitioned into Caitlin in his prime - he could have likely picked up medals in the following female categories: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 110m hurdles, high jump, pole vault, sht put, discuss and javelin. It's plausible he could have medaled in 400m hurdles, weightlifting, maybe rowing, and relay races - despite never competing in these as a male.

On a personal note - I'm all for it and I think it's absolutely hilarious it's even been pondered, let alone actually allowed!

I'm looking forward to the slow rise in dominance of people born male in female speed and strength based sports, and watching these 'brave' individuals collect their medals and money.

It's a shame biological women haven't been protected from this nonsense and now would be the time to make a stand. The women in Hubbard class should just withdraw and let them lift on their own and stand on that podium on his own - but it should never have come to that in the first place. They have been horribly let down.

Why do you insist on communicating your concerns by misgendering someone who hasn't been an athlete for literally almost 50 years? Why be that asshole?

If Caitlyn Jenner has transitioned in her prime under the current rules, she would have had to undergo not insignificant hormone therapy. So I'd suggest that your points on what her performance could have been is total nonsense arising from your preconceptions. We have no idea what her athletic performance would have been.

Because Jenner was a male athlete who transitioned late in life.

If they would have transitioned in their prime, they would have needed 12 months of testosterone lowers and would have been ready for the next Olympics.

Given the fact you're more concerned about a stranger on a car forum misgendering someone than someone born male completing against women in female weightlifting (I still can't believe I actually have to type that), I'm guessing you fully support Hubbard's inclusion in the competition?
