Perhaps they shouldn't, but iif it gets people vaccinated who otherwise couldn't be bothered or couldn't afford time off work or travel costs, I'd say it's a price worth paying for the community benefit.

$100 to get some fluid injected in, and $140 dollars or thereabouts to spaff out into a pot at, for example, the Sperm Bank of California.

This time next year, Rodney…

Offering a lift kit to suit the US built pickup of their choice would get more takers of the required demographic.

Some states were running lotteries with significant winnings to people who took the vaccine as an incentive.

Incentive or coercion? Where does one draw the line?

It would be interesting to find out for how many people $100 was enough for them to go against their beliefs.

These are very strange times. Get a vaccine, get a ticket to a lottery... WTF?

The same has been going on in Europe. Plus fixed cash payments if you can persuade someone to get vaccinated - 30€ for a younger recipient, up to 90€ for an older person.

I don’t think it’s going to change the minds of the anti vaccine brigade but it might effect the “can’t be bothered” brigade .

Won’t folks say it’s unfair and should be retrospective?

Also, it won’t help early take up of future vaccines…folks will be tempted to wait to be paid now, the expectation having been set.

If it was the terrifying killer death virus they are trying to persuade us it is, there wouldn't need to be bribes.
People would be fighting their way to the front of the queue.

I'll give you a hint - offering money isn't coercion.

You have now learned something today.
