This random clip popped up whilst I was looking at TikTok: (NSFW)

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZSJnkuNKP/

Clearly it is edited so this hopefully wasn’t the reaction of everyone. Still, there seems to be more than just a few people.

My prejudiced view is that the US, particularly the South, is very racist. My prejudices are certainly not being challenged by this video.

Your prejudices are not being challenged by a video on the internet…almost like your prejudices are being reinforced by the feed your watching…it’s almost like that’s how social media works.

And deeper into your silo you sink.

Yes, nothing to see here, move along.

Just another piece of “Esceptico Bot” clickbait.

Nicely prejudiced view of my TikTok feed. This stuck out because it is so different from what I’m normally watching (nothing political and mainly not in English). Although because I did watch it and copy the link maybe I will be getting more like it. Must remember to swipe up immediately next time.

Isn't TikTok something used exclusively by 14 year old girls?

What is an adult actually doing on there.

Introduced to it by my daughter a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t know there was an age limit for cat videos!

It's very location dependent. Urban areas are much better than rural. The Police clearly have a bias problem, and some Republican Governors are working to rig voting to exclude poor people, of whom many are ethnic minorities. There's a push back in conservative circles against LGBT rights.

All I've seen personally is the old guy we bought our house from sending away a couple of moving guys the estate alawnt sent him to help out (he wasn't coping at all) pretty much because they were black. I stopped feeling sorry for him at that point. He'd have shat himself if he realised that the two people helping him (me and my sister-in-law) are Jewish and gay respectively.

Interesting that progressives want everyone to have a vaccine ID to enter a resturant, go to school or travel but don't want an ID to vote as its racist........

So are you claiming that Republicans are not blatantly trying to exclude or discourage mainly democratic voters?

Pointing out the hypocrisy which is obvious to everyone who digs deeper than CNN or TikTok.

How can the usual white progressives in the Democratic Party want a mandated vaccine ID's to enter a resturant, go to school or see a sports game in the very same location they don't want a mandated photo ID to vote?

Seems like the race card is played when it suits the progressives as usual and this is why anyone with common sense listens to none of the "I'm a victim" crap coming out of their mouths.

It isn’t hypocrisy. Unlike your faux outrage. What is the reason behind vaccine ID? To try to reduce spread of the virus. What is the reason behind voter ID? To obstruct voting by sections of society that are more likely to vote Democrat (voter ID is just one of many methods Republican led state legislators are trying to introduce to help Republican candidates in elections, including gerrymandering, purge of polls, limits on voting by mail, reducing number of polling stations, preventing people waiting to vote being given food and water. The list goes on).

I've always wondered why voting is such a faff in the US massive queues etc..over here I just walk 100 yds to the polling station go in and vote back home with 5 minutes.

No ID as you're on the register just give them your name and no food/water needed, food and water in order to vote? It boggles the mind...

At least they're not asking you to demonstrate you can read. When it ended is less than human lifetime away. There are people alive today who have had to go through it.

Can’t tell from your post whether you know that owing to Republican efforts to stop people voting in the last US election some people were queuing for many hours, waiting to vote. They were being given food and water whilst waiting. The Republicans didn’t like that so some States made it illegal. Of course you can guess which neighbourhoods saw such long queues and who they were mainly voting for.

Voter suppression has been practiced for a long time in the US (for as long as black people have had the right to vote).

What's that got to do with requiring ID? It's a sensible policy.

Shirley you’re kidding? Same rules apply to everyone, and that’s not equality? Why is it the social justice types only want the kind of equality where one perceived group is treated differently / favourably to the others? The hypocrisy is astounding.

Says you. Another way to state those reasons is that the right favours voter ID to reduce election fraud and the left favours vaccine passports to exclude those they believe to be unclean. Matter of perspective.

The people who need to learn that Black Lives Matter, are black people. Too many, across the world, think black lives are 'cheap'

How long was that video filmed over?

How many cars went past?

What was on the sign?

It could have been a months footage with 50 responses from 10000 cars, or 0.5%.

There are idiots everywhere, watching such edited footage is simply sensationalist at best and misleading at worst.

These are toxic echo chamber videos.

Social Media is a cancer on modern society.

So much confusion could have been avoided if 'Black Lives Matter' had included 'too' or 'as well' at the end of the slogan.

From my experience of travelling across America I found that I preferred those from the south than Americans in New York, Chicago etc.
