Fraudulent invoices to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority in 2019 jointly with Gareth Arnold, who is also charged with six counts of the same offence.

Excellent, however one can't help but remember several expense claims int he past that were revealed but nothing done about

Well, this has cheered me up quite a bit.

Looking forward to learning the reasons why none of this is his fault.

I know he was a Labour MP but surely this warrants higher billing on the BBC than Nicole Kidman avoiding quarantine?

I cant imagine a Tory getting away with being hidden under the fold so to speak.

Horrible man, hope he ends up doing time.

I love when people try to pretend this is something only done by people on one side of the political spectrum.

Tory MP Christopher Davies fined for false expenses invoices

Happens to people from every party and with that one I seem to remember we had people at the time arguing it really wasn't a big deal hehe

So far as O'Mara let the courts do their job.

No sympathy.

He was one of the slimiest MP's from recent memory
Just flicked through his Wikipedia page. If it's even half true what an absolute car crash of a human.

Just addressing a comment raised earlier in the thread by pointing out that criminality isn't confined to any particular party.

The issue is that the BBC article about O’Mara doesn’t mention his political affiliation in the title or indeed until the second last para.

By contrast the BBC article about Davies puts it front and centre in the title.

It's a fair point.

Either proof of massive BBC bias or it's because he was an independent when he stood down as an MP.

Take your pick hehe

Regardless of this invoices issue he stole all his wages so let’s hope justice is done.
