Razor blades glued to posters
Discussion
A couple of things struck me about the reporting of this story.
Why is a poster that literally only says "Masks don't Work" anti-vax?
I can just imagine the type of person that gets so angry at seeing a poster like that that they have to grab it to screw it up immediately. I'd have sympathy if it was a council worker or TFL worker who's job it is to remove them but struggling to muster much sympathy for the injured person.
That said if the culprits are caught I'd expect some jail time coming their way.

Are you seriously saying that it is OK to put razorblades behind a poster? Why is a poster that literally only says "Masks don't Work" anti-vax?

Our village was plastered in anti vax posters a while ago. While I don't agree with their message, it was the vandalism that annoyed me most, which is why I removed any near us. No razor blades involved, but they used a lot of wallpaper paste, so took a good soaking to remove. Why is a poster that literally only says "Masks don't Work" anti-vax?

I'm not sure how widespread it is, but yes, heard of it before with various different kinds of poster etc.The common factor is always that the posters/stickers relate to a view held by idiots, so yes, I can see it being a thing.

king weirdo puts razor blades behind a poster to injure anyone removing it and your first instinct is to get angry at the type of person who might remove it.This is satire right?

Doesn’t seem a very good razor blade trap… unless the razor blade is sentient and scurries to the edge of the poster like a spider when you try to remove it.
Have a think. What do people do when they remove posters like this?

If you go through the links to the original article from July 30th the woman obviously scrunched it into a ball before realising and did cut her palm quite badly. Drumroll said:

Just seems like a play silly games, win silly prizes scenario to me.
Even before Covid I'd touch as little as i could in public and i certainly wouldn't go round ripping up posters that some tramp has put up.

Now would you care to expand on that statement without it appearing that you think it is OK.
As I said before either it is OK or it isn't. The tone of your post is: it is alright if someone who doesn't agree with what is put up to be injured if they remove it.

Well I live life on the edge and pull down posters (unless genuine) and pick up litter while out walking our dog. I even pick up dropped face masks, using a poo bag too. Just seems like a play silly games, win silly prizes scenario to me.

The nutjobs obsessed with this are every bit as thick and delusional as that. Surprised you haven't come across them online or IRL.otolith said:
