Sorry, can you tell me what I'm supposed to think about this so I can get all worked up about it in the right way? Many thanks.ScotHill said:

The Priest went up to the castle and sealed the castle with a crucifix through the door handles. He thought he was keeping the evil in the castle. Little did he know the evil was already resurrected and living outside the castle. The crucifix did come in handy later on but the whole thing was a paradox. If he hadn't gone up to the castle to exorcise the evil the evil woukln't have been resurrected.
It's just how things go sometimes.

So, despite the efforts of other less than intelligent people trying to derail this thread, I think she probably has a case. If there was someone else wearing jewellry and the manager ignored that but picked on her, then that is discrimination. The problem will be trying to prove it. However, if the person who took exception to her wearing a cross was to face a tribunal, then I think they would have a very difficult time trying to explain their actions.

You've rolled a three and a four. You walk along the dark passageway until you reach a low locked gate. On the other side of the gate is wooden chest. To your right is a small bag hanging from a hook.
What do you want to do next?
Pick up the bag, open the bag and inspect the contents. Then twist the hook to the right. What do you want to do next?

On the facts as stated in the article, which are similar to those in other newspaper reports, it does seem that the Hospital is in breach of the 2010 Equality Act.
Thanks for the additional context, it was a challenging w
k but I got there in the end. If only there were more pressing issues in the world I wouldn't need the tourniquet and the orange. The lady is a theatre nurse. They would look a bit silly if they sewed a patient up and then she noticed her cross was missing.
She was offered the chance to wear back to front scrubs that would have prevented it falling off, and also refused to wear the cross on a longer chain, so it couldn’t be seen. Her motives seem to have been to make a demonstration of her Christianity. It is not a requirement of Christianity to wear a cross, in contrast to the hijab or skull cap.
The European Court of Human Rights have said, in a similar case in 2013, that the hospital has more authority than a court to decide what constitutes a breach of health and safety.

I don’t think she has a case.

Crucifix in a hospital?
Aren't they meant to make people well?
Can't see being nailed to a bit of wood doing that.
Joking apart, I suspect this case will hinge on her having any evidence.
But then it's free to bring an unfair dismissal claim again nowadays, so why not give it a shot?

I think the following from the article probably sums her up "‘Patients often say to me: “I really like your cross”, they always respond to it in a positive way and that gives me joy and makes me feel happy. ‘I am proud to wear it as I know God loves me so much and went through this pain for me." A lot of I. me. mine there.
Despite christianity supposedly being about helping people less fortunate is seems very much in this case it is more about her. This pattern fits with almost every so called christian I've ever met.
This could have ended up with a Simpsons Dr Hibbert style confession of "I left the keys to my Porsche inside Mrs Glick"
Anyway...
>You are at the end of a road, outside a building. All around is forest.
There are exits north, south, east and west.

A manager walked into theatre during an operation? Missing a signature on the consent form maybe?
I think she had opportunities for compromise i.e. Wear a back to front gown or longer chain. Not difficult really is it? She seems to have pushed back on any possible ways to continue working in theatre so made her own bed and has to lie in it, just not in recovery!
sorry
