Appears that a stolen Discovery 3 was set alight @ the gates to his property, the thugs then left in another vehicle.
Let’s hope the low life responsible are caught and punished.

A very brave knowledgeable honourable guy, who stands up for what he believes in, Chris has been the subject of threats / harassment / intimidation to himself and his family for some time now.

Details here:
https://twitter.com/ChrisGPackham/status/144691779...

Interestingly a van was found burnt out next to a dead calf the same morning, and not far away:
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/19637130.burnt-va...

He has had extensive targetted harassment, from online threats through to dead animals being dumped at his gates. It looks like the gates burned were pretty new - the older photos he posted showed a 5-bar gate and it looks like he upped his security just in time...

One of the things is that Chris is raising awareness of the persecution of Hen Harriers ( Save our Sky Dancers ) on Grouse moors, Fox hunting and more.

It’s time hunting animals for fun is banned. Absolutely no need for it in this day and age.

Majority of landowners and gamekeepers are involved in illegal practices imo.

Fox hunting ugh.

Nobody deserves to have that done to them for disliking that "hobby".

Don’t see the point of fox hunting, don’t see the point of hunting for fun. Hunting for food is fine with me, the problem being like most things today, people take things to the extreme on both sides.

He's also annoying the 'wildlife management' lot that burn moorland by suggesting it might not be the best practice.

Of all the groups to upset, the one where every member owns atleast 1 shotgun probably isn't the one to antagonise.

I guess they must be scared he's making headway to go to the lengths they have to intimidate him.

So has he been particularly outspoken or is it simply that he has a platform so more people may listen?

I include killing birds for fun under hunting.

Plus isn’t dragging or similar just a cover to hunt foxes still ?

Just yesterday Packham was in London handing over a petition to the Queen to encourage her to "re-wild" a lot of the land owned by the Royal Family.

Now, I'm not one to jump to conclusions - but...

Maybe it's the downside of him [ab]using his position as a celebrity to soapbox his radical personal views.

Chris, if you stick your head above the parapet be prepared to have your quiff centre parted

Yeah. That will be it.

Stay on your lane eh, and let the wealthy do what they like.
