Dom Cummings now the medias best mate
Discussion
Amazing the media couldn’t stand the guy when he was in no 10 and involved in BREXIT. They wrote pages quite rightly taking him to the cleaners for his rule breaking road trip. Move forward 18 months now the media hangs on his every word printing every bit of rubbish he feeds them either on or off the record !! The guy is unemployable but I guess makes a good living from his mates in the press. Doesn’t matter if they are on the right or left they all print his nonsense.

He isn't unemployable. He will be in high demand as an advisor to business, complete with an eye-wateringly high day-rate. Businesses will pay to hear what he thinks Boris will do next, or how the government operates. The press are just doing what they always do. Reporting stuff that they think people want to hear about. As much as I tend to dislike some of the press, I don't think they are doing anything wrong.
Did people want Cummings strung up when he went to Barnard Castle? Yes they did, and the papers did that.
Do people want to hear Cummings describe in detail that our government are a bunch of incompetent self-serving prats, headed by a complete clown? Yes they do.
The simple facts are that Boris and Dominic were very close, he was a special adviser after all.
He was protected by Boris regarding the Barnard Castle event, and was subsequently thrown out (or walked away depending on your viewpoint). They both knew a lot about each other and covered each other.
Now they have separated, it doesn't mean he does not know what went on, or that he was right then and wrong now, or vice versa. It just means he is speaking out, and appears to be against Boris (and himself if what he is saying is true).
If there is any element of truth in his comments, then I fail to see how anybody can like the comments. Support him now or criticise him now, it doesn't change what a lot of sensible people knew back at the Barnard Castle time.
Not seen much of anybody in the know denying what he has said though.
