Can we talk about NYC for a bit?
Discussion
This video apparently shot on the 18th

NYC is laying off (or suspending without pay?) non vaccinated workers (including firefighters, refuse/sanitation and police) on the 29th October.
Is this some sort of fake news, or is it really this bad? Must be some MSM news regarding this, certainly in America?
Will it get worse? And above all, is it "no biggie"?
Edit
Found another link. My mind is blown. I know our MSM have previous for withholding information from us, but this should have leading the evening news, or at least getting a hefty mention.

It's certainly worrying for those that live there, along with those that live in San Francisco, LA and Chicago amongst others.
I think in particular NY is in big trouble that started shortly after the first lockdowns with many companies leaving and relocating elsewhere the issues for landlords not being able to get rental income has impacted many normal people. It's easy to lay the blame at the feet of the Dems or De Blasio but it's probably much more complex than that

It’s no coincidence that the places with the most left leaning woke leaders are hell holes right now. California, New York, Canada, New Zealand etc.
I don’t know why they would all be so insistent on burning their economies to get the last 10% of totally non vulnerable people jabbed.

They are already doing it here for care workers. Last figures I heard is that 30,000 care workers will be fired for refusing to take the vaccine.
So it is not just Democrats in the USA embracing authoritarianism to force vaccines on the public.

And France
And Luxembourg
And Holland
And Switzerland
And Australia
And New Zealand
The YouTube channels Rebel Media, Revolution in the Streets, 504cut and others have some great reports & footage of the massive protests that have been going on every single day for nearly three weeks now against Covid passports.

For absolute control.I don’t know why they would all be so insistent on burning their economies to get the last 10% of totally non vulnerable people jabbed.

It likely won't stay at 10-20% I don’t know why they would all be so insistent on burning their economies to get the last 10% of totally non vulnerable people jabbed.
Soon they will likely define those who haven't taken booster jabs as unvaccinated and many of the non-vulnerable will quickly tire of taking vaccination jabs, with serious side effects for many, every six months or so.

People are realising how mild the covid has become and are wondering why all the controls .
The left will have to find another way !!
Looks like the populous are embracing
Go Brandon now !!!
Is it not demonstrable, as shown by the stats, that Covid is now mild for most because of people being vaccinated and not despite it?The left will have to find another way !!

what a ridiculous statement. Hell holes? Get a grip! For the people who are comfortable with that, I wish them well, but to me these places are about as appealing as North Korea.

As for the layoffs I see no issue. In fact, sacking nurses that don't want to practice medicine and police who don't want to uphold the law is a solution, not a problem.
As for the protests... If that is the fantasy that gets you off, whatever floats your boat.

Three issues for me
(1) What does the state do with the people who suddenly can't afford to pay their rent/mortgage?
(2) can the state cope without x % of its workers?
(3) state over reach.

I read somewhere, can’t remember where, that in Chicago 31% of the Police have not and will not have the vaccine. There was a similar number for nursing staff, prison officers and other city workers. Firefighters and postal workers I believe was even higher.
You see no issue in 1/3 of cops, nurses, firemen and prison officers all just being laid off on the same day, (December 8th IIRC) You can’t foresee that causing any problems at all ?
You have zero objection to the Government, (Federal or State in America), mandating that you MUST have a certain medical procedure whether you like it or not? You don’t think that sets a bit of a worrying precedent?
