RLC bomb disposal in attendance, although the vehicle is burned out. Rumours are the vehicle was a taxi and the passenger died, the driver survived. Obviously various more rumours about what could have happened, but IMO if it's a taxi then it could be something as simple as a dodgy LPG conversion!

Do bad LPG systems have a habit of "blowing up" though? I can't say I've ever heard of it.

Very strange.

Just seen something someone has posted through the private hire cab group on Facebook that the driver is in a bad way and when he seen the guy had a bomb he locked him in the car and it’s gone off. Not 100% as it’s just what I’ve seen posted locally but does seem to tie in with what’s been reported.
If true not sure why someone would want to bomb the womens hospital.

This is a clear pic from Sky News, can't say I'm an expert on Prius' enough though biggrin

Latest is 3 people arrested:
"The men, aged 21, 26 and 29, were detained in the Kensington area of the city under the Terrorism Act."

Maybe a patient had been related to them, and they had a beef, eg. the staff/management had disrupted a "family disagreement"?

Yep, definitely sounds like to much of a coincidence :-( Quick on the arrest front to, surely a case of 'known to police' too.

It’s an SUV. Can’t tell what, maybe a Sorrento?

Terrifying if that is true, hope it isn't, but, it's certainly a plausible possibility :-(

If it was a bomb then I don't think it went off correctly as there is no blast damage or perhaps it was intended to cause a large fire or something.

Edit to add, the police arrested the 3 people fairly quickly from the sounds of it. I really, really don't like it when that happens..

Is it actually possible to lock someone inside a car that doesn't have child-locks on? Is this something cabbies can do to avoid fee jumpers?
