There’s quite a lot you can’t do if you live in China!

WTF? Who would be in any type of public facing role now? You would be scared of doing anything for fear of offending someone somewhere.

Read it rather than being drawn in by a poster who seemingly hasn't.

It's in CHINA. It should be no surprise to anyone that they have very different standards to here.

It is also common in Japan I think, hence why most of their anime characters have large eyes.

I am not sure why it would be considered an "insult" to then have an advertising campaign headed by someone with small eyes, but I guess they are very sensitive to any perceived "insult" from westerners.

I read the article and concluded that people seem to overthink things a bit. I'm glad that they are living such amazing lives that they can spend so much time thinking about this kind of thing. Similarly, if I were living a st life, I wouldn't be able to waste so much time on here. wink

So they’re conscious and concerned about what the west thinks about the way they look but couldn’t give a stuff about what the west thinks about their human rights abuses and land grabbing. Riiiiiiigght.

Thankfully the Goth movement was before all this st.cool

Isn’t this just based on Han Chinese racism against Chinese minorities and the CCP trying to push the “the west is mean to us” line?

I thought eyes were roughly the same size regardless of ethnicity, sex or stature.

I think it's their proximity to each other that is an indicator of a person's character .

It's the palpebral aperture that varies, the visible amount of eye that you can see.

Large eyes are subconsciously more attractive to most people.
