Shelves seem pretty well stocked in every supermarket across the country. How much do we actually need to drink?

Isn’t it a case that anything for sale over Christmas is already in the country? Sure I read this a couple of years ago I doubt anything has changed. Seems like a trade body just trying to grab some column inches.

Sounds like the Wine and Spirit Trade Association took note of the panic buying for fuel a couple of months ago and want a piece of that action.

Anyone gets short give me a shout.

My cupboard under the stairs is like a frigging off-license. "Just in case" is reason apparently

Aint that the truth- when i was a kid my parents (not drinkers) for some strange reason built a proper bar in the house. It was the only thing I recall never being touched. It looked like custard in a bottle.

I hope people continue to show their scummy true colours and panic buy all the booze. Will bring a new meaning to "the walking dead" when all the alcy's run out of booze.

There is only one reason why there is a booze shortage, regardless what all the media say.

It is, on reflection, one of the few good things about going to the in-laws for Christmas. Their wine reserves should happily see us through the next decade - longer, if we tackle the dodgy Madeira bottles that they insisted on bringing back a few years ago.

There’s seemingly always a booze shortage at our house

Can’t think why…

Perhaps we could get the migrants to bring a few bottles across for us.

Promoting panic buying on alcohol is poor behaviour.

If there is a shortage of alcohol then supermarkets better stop cheap promotions promoting high volume sales.

I'm not too worried... My booze collection is a very broad church.

I can enjoy all kinds of alcoholic beverages.

This “crisis” is diminishing all the time.

It started with Christmas being cancelled, no turkey, and tooled up elves foraging across the frozen wastes looking for toys and food.

Then it was that there would be no toys for the little darlings (unless you panic bought them now while we have stock).

Now it is limited to booze and iPhones, but I’ve got enough of both so I’m going to stop worrying.
