Those evil "scum" Torys... Working to do the Brexit thing, after being frustrated for months by the opposition. Take a break for food and a quiz whilst still in the workplace and get torn a new one. (Facts pending)

So why is it Labour and SIR Keir Starmer don't get the same kind of outrage?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14826418/keir-starme...

"A Labour spokesman tonight said: “Keir was in the workplace, meeting a local MP in her constituency office and participating in an online Labour Party event. They paused for dinner as the meeting was during the evening.”

For the record, I think almost all politicians are lying, cheating lizard people. that's why they are in politics.

Were those photos taken from three miles away by someone hiding in a bush with a potato?

Probably because they're much less ghastly than the awful Johnson and his motley crew. Labour haven't needed to improve to look better than Tories - the Tories are simply flushing themselves down the sewer.

This is preposterous....!!!!! Outrageous.....!!!!! Scandalous....!!!!!!

But SKS is irrelevant. We need Bozza to remain as PM for as long as possible, nobody is able to replicate the effect Bozza is having on the electorate. Shame on those pesky tory rebels that threaten to vote against Bozza's tonight, Bozza should banish the puny tory rebels to the commie Labour "party"!

That seems like a matter of opinion statement to me. I would suggest that whoever is in the spotlight, usually looks worse. The question stands though. Why wasn't this plastered all over the BBC when it happened? Why isn't it on the BBC now?

I know 2 wrongs don't make a right, but the wrongs should at least be judged equally.

Is being plastered over other TV/Radio news outlets?

SKS eats dinner during long day working, therefore breaking socialising rules?

Any evidence that it is anything other than dinner break on a long working day, or is this just clutching at straws?

Having a beer whilst working is a long way short of a party. Also keep in mind that the Tory Christmas party story came after;

- Corruption accusations (such as the Randox contracts)
- The PPE contract going to Matt Hancock's sister
- Denying the party happened, until a video was leaked, and then still not completely admitting to it
- Matt Hancock's affair
- The Owen Paterson scandal
- Barnard Castle
- The illegal proroguing of parliament
- Cash for Peerages
- The questionable funding of the flat refurbishment
- Boris' refusal to wear a mask at a hospital
- The funding of his trip to Mustique
- The botched rescue missions following the withdrawal from Afghanistan (whilst the Foreign Sec was on holiday)
- Rescuing dogs before people
- Geffrey Cox £1m second job
- Priti Patel's bullying case
- Priti Patel's Windrush comments
- Priti Patel's Israeli paid work whilst 'on holiday'
- The Greenhils scandal
- Michael Gove found to have acted unlawfully in awarding CV19 contracts

These are just the ones that I can remember from the past couple of years. Isn't it then obvious why people are fed up with this government.

So all the terriers who were adamant that the multiple events reported and being investigated and that people have resigned over were just fluff and not worthy of the media coverage now think they've got some smoking gun because in May it looks like Starmer had dinner whilst working.

It's thin gruel isn't it hehe

Its actually fairly similar. The now notorious "Christmas parties" were apparently some people having drinks after work who already worked in the same office.

It is all equally a non-story IMO as the point of Covid restrictions is to prevent spread and people who work together are already exposed to one another so a few morale boosting social events doesn't do any harm.

Workplaces were supposed to be socially distanced (in law in Wales, and HSE elsewhere) so the idea they were "already exposed" is entirely contrary to the rules and communication provided by the government.

The fact they further broke those rules for social reasons is further evidence of the arrogance of the government and their employees.

I don't remember key workers receiving guidance on "morale boosting social events" or those that still needed to attend the workplace.

There does seem a little bit of a difference in the level of outrage smile

To be clear I think Bojo should go, but I can see a mostly concocted story for what it is, and the supposed "smoking gun" of a picture of Bojo doing a Christmas quiz via video link is even more laughable.

The context being people who have worked together all day having a drink together that evening confused

There is no way Bozza should go, his unfolding gift to the British public is far too delicious to allow for his expulsion! hehe

You're struggling a bit aren't you?

What were the rules in 2020? What are the rules in 2021?

One is having a drink with their evening meal (which is different in law to just consuming alcohol) and continues to work afterwards.

Another is drinking to the point they're declaring their hangovers in the press conference room of Downing Street.
