So, a ‘care worker’ kills his partner’s daughter, a 3 yr old disabled girl, as she refused to eat lunch.

And he gets 11 years?

This seems a rather lenient sentence, for this piece of st.

In any normal person's mind, he committed the murder of a disabled 3 year old child. He picked her up and threw her at the floor/cot or bannister. He is also a carer for God's sake. He will be out in around five years and will still be a danger to others.

Without knowing all the details it's not possible to know. Sentence might be increased if found to be too lenient.

Judging by the details it seems correct he would have to answer to manslaughter.

However crazy it seems to us throwing a 3 year old forcefully into a wall or the floor isn't murder, as it
could be argued it wasn't premeditated.
However it's light sentence even for manslaughter, I believe Life is
a possible sentence.

It’s even worse, for the killing, he only got 9 years. 2 on top for child cruelty.
