WTF!
'Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis said they were "deeply saddened" to hear of the allegations.
"We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences," they said in a joint statement.'
Those women should be ashamed of themselves. But I suppose they want to continue working and their careers are more important than such minor considerations as "innocent until proven guilty".

They cant really say anything else can they? If, when the issue is sorted, he is guilty and they stayed silent they will be forever tarred and never work again. If they speak out now in support of accusers and he is proven to be innocent then it will be "its important to encourage people to come forward" These kind of things are a no win for anyone. What needs to happen with cases like this is that they are resolved fast and people are not kept in limbo'Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis said they were "deeply saddened" to hear of the allegations.

They've said that (a) they're sad to hear and that (b) they're supporting women who've clearly had a terrible time. I struggle to understand why you have a problem saying this.'Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis said they were "deeply saddened" to hear of the allegations.

If you've bothered to read The Hollywood Reporter's account (and the various followups) this is not just a case of he-said, she-said. There are two well-detailed and unconnected incidents, supported by contemporaneous testimony from people who were told that the was Chris Noth. More have come forward since.
Maybe it'll get to court, maybe not. But it has the ring of authenticity. As to why these things aren't kept private ... often there's a pattern of predatory behaviour and the publicity brings forward further victims. Each of these may have thought they were the only one, and it's exceptionally hard to prove on just the one instance. When it's many unrelated accusers who all tell the same story, you see the truth.
Bear in mind that the Harvey Weinstein misdemeanours only surfaced with a few women talking, then a dozen, then close to 100. And eventually he ended up in jail. One accusation on its own wouldn't have done it.
Still think the actresses should be ashamed?

He'll almost certainly have a clause in his contract to do with reputation and his has suffered, hence The Equaliser cutting him. Given that his job is all about reputation, perhaps he should have considered that he'd be immediately unemployable if he acted as he's alleged to have done. He knew the rules, signed up to it, and has no-one but himself to blame.
As I say, read the accounts of Chris Noth's behaviour. This guy may or may not be a rapist according to the lay (dunno, have to get it to court) but he's at the very least an utter scumbag.

No, I'm, not going to 'read the accounts of Chris Noth's behaviour'. I've never been interested in gossip from or about people I don't know, and I don't think you should be either. He'll almost certainly have a clause in his contract to do with reputation and his has suffered, hence The Equaliser cutting him. Right.
Imagine being some massive big new things moviestar nowadays, having everyone loves you, people and throw themselves at you, ....world at your feet, not married, no ties.......
And not being able to do a damned thing about it, in case someone cries abuse a few years down the line and ruins your career before it has even begun.
Utterly joyless!

So you understand that allegations are damaging to him regardless of whether or not they're true. He'll almost certainly have a clause in his contract to do with reputation and his has suffered, hence The Equaliser cutting him. You really should read back what you've written and have a good think about it. Your reasoning is nonsense.
