Never done this before and is probably a waste of time, but I've just emailed my local Conservative MP to complain about Boris Johnson's apparent lack of obeying his own rules...!

Half the country didn't obey the rules.

You want Boris out? - offer a suggestion from the current crop who you think would be any better? from any party.

Those that didn't follow the rules and were caught, paid the penalty for it. Johnson isn't, yet. That's the difference.

Name me another Govt anywhere that was having parties under lockdown. I'll wait.

Who's bothered. Loads were breaking the rules back then.
That doesn't excuse him and he lacks morals, but he gets the important stuff right and I cant see anyone else being better.

Who's bothered? Maybe people who's friends and relatives died when they were prevented from seeing them by fkwit's laws. The laws that said fkwit was busy breaking.

Name someone better.

Sometimes it's better the devil you know. Although, Rishi seems alright.

For those of you saying "but,....but ... everyone else did it, nothing to see here"

You quite obviously don't understand the seriousness of having a government that creates laws they have no intention of abiding by themselves. Not only that but lying left right and centre when it emerges that they wilfully broke those same laws they enacted for the rest of the population. Especially when members of the public had their collars felt for breaking those same laws.

The parties aren't the main issue, as wallpaper etc wasn't. Its the lies and deceit along with the total contempt for the rest of society by their disregard of their own laws.

If that doesn't worry you, then it should. Greatly.

Johnson and his entire cabinet are a disgrace. A bunch of spineless lackies who are in their positions largely because of their unquestioning willingness to support such an incompetent dysfunctional narcissist.

What about all the civil servants who used Number 10 as a party pad?

Good post. I hope you don't mind, but I've used some of it in my note to my MP, the hopeless Dominic Raab.

Wouldn't do much good, my MP is Labour. He's also useless, but I'm not sure if that and his political affiliation are related or coincidence.

I can't say I'm that bothered to be honest.

I would imagine Downing Street to have been a busy and stressful environment with a number of things going on - the pandemic, Brexit etc etc Having a glass with colleagues in a closed garden either during or after work? Not a biggie.

Does it look awful? Yep. Should they have done it? Nope. Has it any impact on me or my family and friends? Nope.

Great for the media to keep frothing it up and for people to clutch their pearls in horror.

I struggle to believe that those who wrote the rules were stupid enough not to follow them or at the very least not to follow the spirit of them.

When in power it’s not just what you do and say it’s the perception of what you do and say and it beggars believe that they saw these events as a work meeting.

However I am also annoyed that this is all being dripped out by Cummings who in my opinion shoukd never be given a job by anyone nor paid by anyone, he is plainly untrustworthy. If phthisic was all so illegal and important why didn’t he say so at the time?

I can console myself with the thought that I didn’t vote for Boris as leader.

To get back to the OP’s question; no I haven’t. Yet. Ours is an utterly feckless career politician, never sticks his head above the parapet, toes the party line on every issue/vote, and at a local level occasionally spouts on in the local press about his support for dualling a local A road (which hasn’t happened in 40+ years and won’t anytime soon) and little else.

I’m tempted to contact him about Johnson however, if only to vent my spleen, though all he’ll say I’m sure is “I’m waiting for Sue Gray’s inquiry findings”.

I doubt this corrupt and inbred Govt care a jot what you think. Wait, are you a billionaire and at least multimillionaire? If not, forget it.

BUT the one thing you should be asking yourself is, IF this is as serious and deadly as we were being told and still are, then why would they risk such a thing? The only logical conclusion to draw is.........

Yup I fired off an email to my M.P. today voicing my utter disgust that I feel regarding the Office of our P.M. as reported in National media outlets. It’s likely that I will not be voting Conservative at the next G.E.

Sent one to my Tory MP who was on record and TV as having said that Cummings should have done for his Eyesight trip.

Said that I will not vote Conservative whilst Johnson is in charge - I await his or his lackeys reply with interest.
