Anyone else following the story of the dead Irish man who went to claim his pension on Friday?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-60091753

'The Irish Times said it understood that a concerned staff member "enquired about the wellbeing of the man being propped up" when the group approached the post office counter. The two men fled, dropping the body at the scene and when staff went to check on the elderly man they were shocked to discover he was dead, the paper said.'

Lastest is this interview:

https://www.sundayworld.com/news/irish-news/men-wh...

'TWO MEN under investigation over suspicions they brought a dead man to the post office to claim his pension yesterday insisted to the Sunday World: "He was alive when we left the house."'

'"He probably died in the post office - at the ice-cream freezer, I'd say that's where he dropped off."'

This has got to be made into a dark comedy film! laugh

Smiler.

Reminds me of one of my favourite anecdotes....a man found dead in an ice cream parlour, covered in whipped cream, hundreds and thousands, flake, chocolate, raspberry and strawberry sauce. Police thought he had been murdered but it turns out he tried to top himself .....

It does have comedic overtones, but sadly this is real life. And in the cold light of day, this is an incredibly awful way to treat a deceased person and their dropping him and legging it shows them to be total and utter scumbags. Not really a laughing matter, i hope they get a decent custodial.
Utterly Contemptible and despicable specimens who will lie and try to laugh off and bullst their way out of it, all over a few fking Euro.
