Nasty attack at Stamford Hill
Discussion
A very frightening incident, can't imagine the terror those two poor guys must have felt. Absolutely dreadful.

I often think there is a mass hypnosis effect because people who would scream "racism" at the top of their voices exhibit horrible levels of Antisemitism, in Ireland a few years ago, I got into with an otherwise seemingly rational person I've known for most of my life and at the merest mention of Israel/ Palestine and anything Jewish sent him into an irrational rant. When I tried to impart some objectivity he just found reasons to maintain his thoughts.
As a kid I'd spend summers in Dublin with my grandmother and often see them on a Friday going to Synagogue, I read a recently that most have left Ireland now but fear not the Muslim population has increased exponentially so the worlds right with Irish Liberals.

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd imagine the perpetrator probably said something offensive as he passed them and they called him out on it.Sadly, antisemitism has become so normalised and ingrained in our society that people of otherwise good character often buy into antisemitic tropes and conspiracies.
There was a thread here recently about some Jewish people on a bus being abused. A poster came into the thread saying he'd heard the attack was a retaliation as the Jews had been dancing outside of a Muslim business, which was not true, nor would it have been a valid reason to be subject to such vile actions were it true. But people repeat these kind of things when violence or abuse is directed towards Jews in ways that they wouldn't if many other cases.

It's a curious phenomena, the Beeb reported the attack saying anti-Muslim slurs were used by the bus, and insisted for a period this was accurate. It was rubbish, Ofcom is currently looking into it.anonymous said:

I wouldn't want you to take this the wrong way but it sounds like you're insinuating they had some hand in escalating the attack, they look round in my view as he was aggressive when he pushed by, looking around shouldn't be an excuse to attack.Knowing the type of sh$t he is most likely, he was going to attack anyway.
What I find most pathetic is he adopts some kind of boxing stance, I always hate people who do that and yet based on the attack aren't proficient boxers, look at his lead front leg, honestly I'd have swept his front leg outwards and then battered him.
He's a bully and a coward

Unfortunately that is the 4th video of such an incident I have seen in the last few months ,the level of AS in this and other countries is at a unbelievable level.
As an atheist I find all religious hatred strange. I think theist beliefs are a load of cobblers, but not so much that it stirs any feelings hatred or violence in me. Why would it when it doesn't figure in my life at all?

They still insist ,they also claim the CST helped them translate the Hebrew which the CST deny and what is also odd is the supposed slur was allegedly in English so why would they need Hebrew translators ?I also believe the actual reporter denies putting anything in about a slur and says it was added later .
The bbc ran a radio panel on anti semitism recently with no Jewish person on the panel .
Something is very rotten at the bbc at the moment ,

Fair enough, there's some truth in what you say but sadly it's like the guy in the pub who say "are you looking at my girlfriend" and I say "no" and he replies " Why ? what's wrong with my girlfriend"He was attacking one way or the other, once he'd decided he could beat them

At the risk of being ignorant and uneducated. Why is this antisemitism ? I had no sound on the video so didn't hear what was said between the people. Or is any attack on a Jewish person classed as antisemitic?
Presumably although you didn’t hear anything, the video shows what appears to be an unprovoked attack. But one that during which, some words were said. So police will have acted on the report of the attack, part of which will be backed up by the video. But with no videos they will have asked the victims about what was said and when.
The perp looks like a meat headed grunt, who I hope gets locked up. Why should the rest of us have to share the streets with such a person?
