So over the last 18 months, have seen the usual countries that I thought I could go and live out my days struck off the list. The one positive thing this Covid Pandemic has done is highlighted the Jokers and Clowns who are in charge.

Are there any places left in the world that I could go, be left alone, live in peace, each to their own, different strokes for different folks!

England
Scotland
Wales
Canada
Australia
New Zealand

PS - Never thought the "Land of the Free" was the land of the free!

You need to add France and Italy to the list of nutty places too.

I'm hoping Portugal stays sane to be honest. smile

You should not assume any country will want you. Your profile occupation is hardly going to put you in the acceptable list is it?

The places you have lined through are all democracies and ours a result of your vote and political input or lack thereof.

There are a few African nations that have governments that will barely interfere in your life at all, if that’s your main objective. wink

It seems the question is “where can I go where no one disagrees with me”.

The answer is, anywhere is going to have rules around your behaviour in order to maintain a cohesive society.

More precisely

"where can I go where those in charge are grown up to understand that people will have different views and allow that to maintain a cohesive society".

Fully accept we all need rules and the law.

I'd say that if the OP cant chill out and fit in here (the UK), there's a fair chance he's going to wind someone up and get some hassle wherever he goes. Perhaps the answer is to be like one of those people in the US that lives in some sort of barricaded bunker in the desert?

Really ?? So cohesive in your book would be a country who follows some or all the attitudes of the Chinese communist party??

Suggest you look at the definition for social cohesion and try again.

Boris is obviously worried about the OP emigrating. All covid restrictions to be lifted in England with an emphasis on personal responsibility from tomorrow.

Well done OP clap

Pretty much this.

OP's a loon (sorry, not sorry but you are), as someone who's successfully emigrated, there are a whole bunch of checks to ensure that you're not letting in complete nutbars. The OP is having a cry because he doesn't agree with society.

As mentioned, to immigrate you have to be someone who is remotely useful (a profession that can earn a decent living) and someone who'll fit in. If the OP is struggling with the multicultural UK where you have very few limitations on lifestyles, how is he going to handle somewhere like Thailand, a place where he'll be treated like a second class citizen. Not that they'll let him emigrate there.

If you can't manage to do that in the UK are you sure you're a "grown up"?

Sadly enough, the UK, specifically England has been one of the better ones. Maybe Brazil or one of the red states?

ETA more like Yugoslavia to Australia's East Germany than a beacon of freedom, but still.

Blimey!

That deteriorated very quickly.
Thanks to those that suggested Portugal and "England was the better ones"
Obviously the question was not about:

(1) Me
(2) Blighty Bashing
(3) Living in a sthole - have a look at your own Number 6(b) - one possibility.
(4) Whinging

It was seeing if anyone lived in a country (PH is worldwide after all) that they considered their leaders can hold their heads up high during these last 18 months.
