Despite many companies doing the right thing, Marks and Spencer are still operating production plants in Belarus and are still operating their stores across Russia. Time to boycott M and S ?

This was posted as a reasonably serious suggestion, and just the tiniest thing we could do to bring home to the Russians how the West is reacting to Putin's actions, but I'd forgotten at what level many PH contributors think.

I also see messages about M&S boycotts when there is an escalation in palestine - mainly as a muslim protest. Are they really that important?

Of course, everyone should toe the line given the current situation.

M&S might actually be the only company not to jump on the "death to all Russians" bandwagon. Good for them. However, in due they will crumble and tow the line line all the good little humanoids.

Pack mentality is truly abhorrent.

Make your own mind up.

What are your real friends saying to this question, or would they not help you in answering such a daft proposal?

ok, concede my response was a touch ‘glib’, but agree totally about the pack mentality.

Yep - and it's a 21st century social media thing.

Personally, I can't see how depriving Russian citizens, who we have to assume don't want this war, from shopping at M&S, helps anyone.

Butter chicken is literally the easiest curry to make in the world, you can make it at home and it will be ten times nicer than M&BloodyS ready meals

I've been boycotting M&S for 41 years due to their overpriced food, so won't affect me either way.

Not at 9pm when I get home from work...... it’s the only ready meal curry I will buy and I do think it’s excellent. Have you tried it?
