There’s already been more. Proud Boys rampaged through a library when they were doing an event.

People have been saying for months that the anti trans fervour is leading into a more generally anti lgbt+ movement and now it’s happening.

Also from the article:'The group was dressed similarly, wearing khaki pants, blue shirts and hats with plastic inside them, the chief said. They were also equipped with "shields, shin guards and other riot gear," along with papers White described as "similar to an operations plan that a police or military group would put together for an event."'

I have relatives in Idaho, and their son is 17. I feel massively sorry for him. He's a really nice guy, and last time I was chatting to him, he said he has been bullied the entire way through school because he is politely spoken, a bit nerdy, reads a lot, is intelligent, is non-religious, and likes computers and gaming.
He was saying that everyone else at school is either Mormon, redneck/hillbilly, racist/religious country types, into sports and guns, or a farmers son. He is none of those things. He's been over here a few times to visit and stay, and actually prefers it over here as he sees it as far more 'normal' and tolerant than the utter s
t show he has grown up with. That being said, I'm sure their are many other places he could live in the US where he would fit in better.

I think you have a point (we do agree on occasion). Pride month as I understand it the origins of pride are a protest a fight back etc. Now anyone can marry anyone and you can pick your gender (can't expect others to believe you but you can hope they show you some basic human decency).https://www.kqed.org/news/11916918/sheriffs-invest...

So do we need a pride protest month that is latched onto by big business (unless its in the ME then they pretend it's not happening). I would be infavour in the UK of a named day like St's Days but Pride Day along with a BAME day don't have to make it a holiday (St Georges day is not) but a marked event etc. The rest of it let people do whatever they like after all I think Mormons are mental but it's up to them.

And people wonder why they struggle to bring in any kind of gun controls. There is a massive portion of the country that's still basically stuck in 1911. (some will get the reference...

Pride Month came from the Clinton presidency, it's not a thing in the UK in any official sense.

Pride is a protest and if anything stuff like this shows why it’s still important for LGBT+ people to plant a flag, so to speak.
