This looks more like trying to build support to the east rather than about the UK, and I’m not surprised when the options at the moment are “join the EU, meeting their requirements” or nothing.
Seems like a very sensible way forward against Russian interference in other countries.
It looks very much like a "waiting room" for those countries who wish to join the EU.Seems like a very sensible way forward against Russian interference in other countries.
How can the EU have political aims, and their members in another forum have differing aims?
Seems like EU by stealth.

It will be ok as the UK has no track record of joining some big club without asking permission from the voters.TX.

"All 100 members have agreed to give 0.1% of their GDP to tackling the refugee crisis, apart from the UK, who have chosen to abstain, the cheapskates"Thats going to look good

We seemed to bend over backwards to interpret and apply EU guidance and direction in the most disadvantageous manner possible, with a sprinkling of additional bureaucracy and self imposed legal wrangling.
Unfortunately I dont see that changing in the short term, whichever club we're in.
