If I Was PM...

Many of us here are probably just about as (un)qualified to make Govt policies as those who actually do make them.
So opening the can of worms, what policies would you announce if you were PM in the current circumstances, and why?
Personally I'd immediately go for:
1: A further windfall tax on energy firms for taxable UK profits.
2: New UK Energy Co to compete with the private companies. Gotta be careful with nationalised companies (I used to work for one which was a horrible experience), so need to incentivize the employees by way of profit-share etc.
3: Ditto the railways.
4: Delete the Rwanda nonsense. £millions has been wasted for no benefit whatsoever.
5: Make teachers pay commensurate with their students outcomes. Hopefully a win-win.
6: Have a good look at all existing Govt contracts and get rid of any that aren't performing efficiently.
7. Expedite nuclear and renewable energies.
8: If there has to be fracking, ensure that the locals get 1st refusal on the newly created jobs wherever possible to reduce local resistance.
I'm sure that I've missed a lot and that you'll have better ideas, so over to you...

Introduce disincentives for failure - where for example a CEO who's buggered the company receiving a multi-million pound pay off.
Pay all MPs £1m a year - but - this covers absolutely everything, they cannot do work for anyone else, receive payment from anyone else or work for anyone else for five years after leaving office. Plus other measures to remove the influence of corporations from political parties. I'd like to separate union influence from Labour too but that may be a bit of a push.

Not sure I'd limit that last one to just Lotus Elises, but I agree with the rest. Introduce disincentives for failure - where for example a CEO who's buggered the company receiving a multi-million pound pay off.

Public campaign funding for candidates too. A small but sufficient budget; to be refunded if the candidate gets less than 1% of the total vote.
