Driving in icy conditions through what appears to probably be an M40 services. Certainly a challenge for a high powered rear drive Aston Martin!

Once there was a saying, 'they all look the same'. That led to the famous Andy Palmer's mum test. Result, the new Vantage and everyone could then easily distinguish that from a DB11. Success.

Now even Aston Martin enthusiasts cannot easily spot the differences.
DB11; DBS; next DB11; next DBS, - confused

Just seen that very car, or one of its twins, in a lay-by on the a46 around Eversham letting out a lot of steam!

It's got a shut line across the nose so no clam-shell bonnet. The rest looks like DB11.

Lol Jon, I must admit as I don’t pay too much attention to the current AM lineup all I could tell was it wasn’t a vantage smile

Twas at a greggs carpark outside cirencester - the two drivers were obviously feeling peckish -

Gotta be a facelift DB11 or replacement. That nose & headight arrangment looks very similar to the DBR22

Clocked this (or it’s twin) heading up through Burford towards Chipping Norton yesterday - and presumably on towards Gaydon.

AIUI It’s not unheard of for well developed mules / production validation vehicle to be taken home by senior management- especially over Christmas - as a form of final “livability” testing.

God I hope that isn't a production update. The shut line across the nose is such an aesthetic compromise for any car. Probably the design element of the new Vantage that I hate the most.

The DB11 bonnet is rather expensive to produce. I noted the central leather stitched feature between the seats on the new Vantage is not present anymore like on the initial production vehicles. AM are always looking for cost savings...

I noted that as well oddly, it seems it was removed in 2020, for MY2021 Vantages from a nose around.

Glad mine has it, don't quite understand the removal of it in honesty at all as it is fairly small amount of leather. Although the stitching work probably plays a part.

I also note you no longer can get leather headlining on the Vantage, which is also present on mine.

Well spotted! I thought the leather headliner looked rather good.
