I get flashed enough as it is in 20 zones for doing 20. Anyone who suggests 10mph is an acceptable speed limit is a fkwit to be blunt about it. And people who will do 35 in a 20 will do 35 in a 10. They don't give a st and will still cause accident regardly of what brain dead moron recommends a lower speed limit.

20 limits roundly ignored. 10mph potential limits shows just how out of touch with the motorist these people are or that they simply don't give a fk about them.

If she genuinely cared about the children she'd have proposed 9mph.

Mental, when a pensioner on a shopping bike or a moderately fit jogger can exceed the speed limit there is something wrong.

Some of our construction sites at work have 10mph limits. I'm either razzing along in 1st gear coming on and off the power in a jerky fashion, or lumbering along in 2nd at low rpms.

As if 20mph wasn’t stupid enough. We have just had the delight of a number of dead straight, wide roads reduced to 20 round my way. Now they have reduced most derestricted roads to 50 or 40. Many 40’s to 30 and now many 30’s to 20.

30 in built up areas in a modern car is perfectly sufficient as a speed limit.

Without even opening the link I had a mental image of what this person looked like, then the link confirmed it.

Don't be surprised when a few of those economically inactive regulars on here state that they don't see anything wrong with 10mph, and that it's a small price to pay.

Very much the latter.

It’s obviously a completely terrible idea.

Being stuck in 1st gear occurred to me too - I reckon driving around in 1st would cause many bad emissioney things that’d definitely upset Saddiq.

I'd rather sit at 10mph in my automatic car, anyway. Nice and dry, warm, relaxing.

That’s a good idea, bet nobody has ever thought of trying that!
