I can't see another thread on this.

How on earth were they able to do this ? This is the PM's home. Surely it was under police protection ?

I'm surprised they've managed this too. Although, looking on google earth, it didn't take me more than 5 minutes to find his house and it doesn't seem all that protected really.

Oliver Dowden won't be happy that the BBC have slightly misquoted him. smile

Why hadn't Sunak taken responsibility for security of his own home?

Singular house sitter would have been able to alert the police and foil this invasion.

What's the problem? Leave them there. Forecasts for rain and sooner or later they will need a poo.

Time to climb on roof -~5 minutes.

What is the likely police response time ?

That is a Major security breach

I forsee the Chief Constable of NYP being summoned to explain standing on a carpet and not being offered tea/biscuits

The property should have 24/7 internal and external protection both human and technical

It should not have been possible

Beyond that targetting the private lives of public figures is reprehensible

This does appear quite a failing for a current PM.

I guess in residence it would be slightly different. However, it does appear the property is a bit vulnerable. They weren’t exactly subtle in their approach.

No, this is Sunak; Major lives elsewhere.

For a billionaire or whatever he is, I would’ve thought he could spend a few quid on getting the exterior lintels painted.

If aĺ former and current PMs shared the same house life would be so much simpler.

At least for once, the PM seems to be getting exactly the same police service that the rest of society would expect. More an act of levelling down, rather than levelling up though... hehe
