Orca attacks increasing on boats?

This has gradually filtered into my attention and finally prompted me to post after seeing this orca having a little bite on the rudders of a modern racing yacht.

Orcas have s long documented history of being dheads to other organisms, but the past three years around spain look pretty unnerving.

Based on videos of the events, scientists are leaning towards it being a game.

Apparently the first such incident involved 2 young male orcas in that pod, and it's since become a behaviour learned by others. Other videos show the Orca's playing with broken rudders.

But yeah, Orca's are the biggest dheads in the seas; even Jaws would run from a pod of Orcas.

These yachts in that area need some thing to distract the orcas…. They play with the bits that fall off the rudders.

So take something to distract them when they show up. Suggest something like a rugby ball, or similar

I saw a piece recently about wildlife cameramen where they were filming orcas teaming up to wash seals off ice floes. At one point the orcas were having a go at the camera crew's boat. Nasty piebald bds.

Dolphins are just as bad as Orca, they're like the Steve Buscemi character from Con Air.

I've either read or seen something recently on how they are changing eco systems by attacking Great Whites, so the Great Whites bugger off else where and the seal population explodes and then over eat all the fish.

Has been featured lots in the magazines recently for yachting, several several boats have been attacked. Far less of freak incident now in the Bay of Biscay
