Brilliant.

Watch: Furious row after policeman throws sandwich crusts on ground

Got to say I 100% agree with the chap though I'm not sure I'd have used the same language knowing you could just as easily find yourself being arrested for god knows what.

Crumbs. The police are public servants, they should know which side their bread is buttered.

Have we had confirmation whether it was white bread or brown bread?

Either way I can see why the resident was sourdough.

Straightforward littering. I hate it..
Pick it up apologise and hope the witness doesn't ring the station.
Don't do it again..

The crusts as we all know from our parents is the mythical 'best bit' anyway..
Like gristle/fat in a pie, core of an apple etc etc

I'd say something as well, but I wouldn't be rude or aggressive (some southerners tend to sound like that as a default to my ears though) but I would ask them to pick it up, littering is a scummy thing to do and an action that has no mitigation in its defence, to see the police doing it is pretty poor.

I'm surprised the other officer was stood out in the street dressed like that - isn't it standard practice that they should be wearing a hovisability jacket when they're out on foot on a highway?

...and a stab vest, in case they get sliced.

By contrast :
Japanese gentleman in his home Country sat on a public bench feeding the wild birds with seeds he had brought with him. This chap clearly enjoyed this harmless activity and the birds seemed to appreciate it.
Eventually the birds had had their fill and off they flew leaving some seed scraps on the pavement.
The old gentleman took out a small crumb brush from his coat together with a tiny crumb pan.He then diligently swept up the remains of the seed scraps from the pavement and put them into his bag to take home for disposal.

If you've never seen it look at how Japanese fans behave at World Cup games.

They stay behind and clean up the stadium.

It's just a different culture.

It's still considered littering in the eyes of the law.

Yes it is and if you use that as an excuse for your own littering then shame on you.
