Clearly they do, and fail at it.
Take fighter jocks, add in the test pilot mentality and throw in an encouragement to show boat, et voila!
It is a standard rule of thumb to anybody and everybody in the aerospace world that pilots are dicks. Jet pilots are bigger dicks and fast boys not only are the biggest dicks around, they also think they are the biggest swinging dicks around. Display and test pilots are simply show boating glory boys on top of fast dicks. As such, said behaviors are a shock to precisely nobody.
As the world hasn’t managed to stop cavalry officers from being dicks over the last few thousand yrs - even after taking away their horses - then good luck stopping fly boys from being dicks after only 100.
