While he is told "No planning Pal".

Perhaps build a nice little collapsible roof home on the back of a pushbike trailer/tricycle, move it about a bit and keep quiet.

… no recollection of his previous life in Iran.

He added: 'It's all gone. My head is not the same since this accident and I don't remember most things about my life.'

I wonder if he remembers where his passport is?

"his immediate near-neighbours are Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, fellow rocker Bryan Adams"

Maybe Bryan Adams can help him out - https://www.thebryanadamsfoundation.com/

Or Mick Jagger - https://news.un.org/en/story/2008/12/285582-actor-...

And cue the faux moral outrage as this "shed" is cleared.

"How could we be so cruel at Christmas!", the Mail et al. will wail..

Obviously the lefties will jump on this but I couldn't help be a bit jarred by the statement - asylum seeker, here ten years, doesn't speak English. Say, what? I appreciate his endeavours (which will no doubt be gone now it's been in the news) but how do you live somewhere ten years without bothering to learn the language? How long are you an asylum seeker before you've... well... found asylum? The guy needs helping to integrate properly because you can't live your life in a river hut with no communication skills.

Not sure how they can say it was built "secretly" when it's plainly visible to everyone using the steps and from the other side!

If you find yourself having to sleep rough on the north side of the river, you do it around Paul's Walk and Southwark bridge. There's piles of rough sleepers in the covered walkways around there.

Maybe he "fell out" with them.

I do wonder why he'd chosen this spot.

Can't remember his Iran incident but remembered what a soft touch and a reminder of a joke this country now is.

I think the more accurate phrase is 'illegal immigrant', but that's not PC so you'll note the media never say it. If he hasn't got asylum in 10 years he should be repatriated.
