My prediction that some time down the line, the shenanigans and creative accounting by those involved in the Teeside "Freeport" development will be exposed and there will be legal action, and "lessons learned"...
I've been keeping an eye (and Private Eye) on the Gove promise to have it investigated but he seems to be kicking the can to avoid exposing anything before the May elections.
It is covered Private Eye and very surprising it's not mentioned more in the MSM, very much a parallel to the Post Office scandal...

Good call, maybe have Joanna Lumley playing Michael Gove. This is the next scandal in the long list of scandals, they’re doing their level best to suppress it but hopefully the truth will come out before the election, they’ve turned the UK into a basket case. Scotty2 said:

Because tweets are the only way for anything to happen.

my point is the public reaction would be in no way comparable. and yes, we do need more rail capacity, especially together freight off the trunk roads. king burglary they charge of £24 per day to park in a 2/3rds empty car park of a regional airport that has zero train, bus or alternative connectivity to get to the bd place.(still love the fact that I can get from Bed to Gate in 1hr however......

Absolutely no corruption, it's entirely reasonable for a public/private partnership to be where the public bit is half a billion of our money and 110 acres of development land in a freeport and the private bit is a pair of developers who put in their hands and help themselves to all of it. Trebles all round. And they wonder why they're going to lose the next election.
