All is well that ends well but a comment from the bloke that went in the water to help the last Fisherman out stating that the SAR bods told him they couldn't help as it wasn't in their training and he had to take equipment out their van himself doesn't cover them in glory either.

Watch the rescue and then read the official Coastguard report.
"A spokesperson from HM Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard has been responding to a vessel running aground in the St Andrew's Harbour area today, 3 December.
“Alerted at around 1pm, Coastguard Rescue Teams from St Andrews and Leven, lifeboats from Broughty Ferry RNLI and the coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Prestwick were sent to the scene.
“The casualties from the vessel were recovered to shore and transferred into the care of the ambulance service.”

They are the Special constable of the SAR world, they volunteer and as such will be told not to go over and above their training.

There are some volunteers better than others and more competent, others join so they get the big "COASTGUARD" window sticker in their car and can act important down the pub.

This lot looked like some of the 4X4Response walts.
