This is just the first step of operation rebrand.
State the obvious about BREXIT, blame it on others, then promise that we are not like that.
Didn't Boris do that when he took office after months of Teresa May negotiations with Europe and her own party? State the obvious about BREXIT, blame it on others, then promise that we are not like that.
Literally his only aim was "leave Europe" come hell, high water, deal or no deal.
And now even his own party have seen the problems with that approach!

What might this growth plan have been? Our amazing trade agreement with Australia. (Boomerangs and Digeridoos have never been cheaper)? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c17edyz11nno

It’s a weak attempt to suggest the current Tory party would have done better job of it.
Brexit is a great example of people making a decision based on emotion rather than logic or facts. No one really knew what the impact would be, so assumed it would be good if the decision went their way.
Personally, I was against brexit for many reasons, most of them political and /or philosophical. Still am, from that perspective,
Financially it’s been a great success. Working for a large corporate it’s removed about 80% of our completion as our smaller UK competitors don’t have scale to compete against us in Europe.

Murdoch dropped support for John Major because he wouldn't leave the EU, the supported Blair and others until he lucked upon the gormless idiot Johnson who fulfilled his desires. It’s a weak attempt to suggest the current Tory party would have done better job of it.

Sadly the people bought Murdoch's bulls
